@token_liberal: Def mad me LOL. He'll learn to look out for his well-intentioned but clumsy mom eventually. Haha.

@DevilDucky: Pucker Up, Ducklings: Hiccups are super annoying to have. So, makes sense you're easily annoyed during a bout. When I get them they always last too long. :/
I attempted to jump through this gap in the line of bushes between our house and the one next door on the walk home, cause the kid thinks it's hilarious. INSTEAD, I successfully clipped him as I ran past and knocked him over. Ack.
I think it's maybe the second time in the past few weeks that I've tried to be funny and inadvertently caused strife. Physical comedy is apparently not my game. Unless no one else is w/in flailing distance. I just always forget how utterly uncoordinated I am til something dumb happens.
Also, it makes me wonder how I ever managed to play sports w/ even a fraction of the proficiency that I did.
@Sabriel: I'd bring both of those pictures with you. The second one makes it a little easier to see how long the bangs are. But the first gives more of an overall picture.
I keep a folder on my phone called 'Hairspiration'. (It may or may not be mostly pictures of David Beckham.) My barber is pretty great at replicating pics I show him. W/ hair stylists, it's always been hit or miss for me as a short haired person. But, I imagine they'd be better at successfully doing yr long hair.
@UnpleasantBug : I somehow didn't realize Noodle was smaller than a kitty. Ahhhh. How does Noodle cute so much?
@wonderful1x1: I'm sorry you're having a rough go. I don't have any cute gifs or pics on my phone. But lots of internet love and hugs for you. Hope the morning brings a little light your way.
@Harry Covert: Oops, just saw you requested sci-fi YA, not general. Sorry!
@syneblue: Right now I'm reading a book called 'There is No Dog'. It's pretty funny and lighthearted so far. It's about an alternate-ish reality where the world was created by a teenage boy.
I just finished 'Esperanza Rising', which was really really good. Not really lighthearted but still plenty of moments of joy and you'll want to keep reading. About a family moving to the US from Mexico and the new reality they must come to accept.
I also read 'So Yesterday' recently. It was good, a kind of mystery book. Really in depth creation of the environment they are living in. Alternate reality-ish, Scott Westerfeld. About advertising/coolness basically and brand building? Bad explanation, but good book.
I'll have to think of others. I've been reading tons of YA. Love it, cause I can tear through one or two books some weeks.
@wonderful1x1: Thanks. I'm hoping it's a one off, since I haven't heard them before and they've been living there for a while!
I kinda just needed to post about it to get it out of my head. I was having a little bit of a physiological response. And, doing something to kinda disrupt my brain can help. :)
@Sabriel: They've been there for a while and I've never heard them before, so hopefully it was just an odd occurrence that won't necessarily repeat! I don't know. I guess thankfully I'm also moving, so if this is evolving into a regular thing I won't have to hear it.
