@UnpleasantBug : I sometimes get really itchy (there and other places) after a shower. It's sooo unpleasant.
I do not understand why, in my fairly limited social life, everyone I know inevitably wants to make plans with me on the same day.

And now I am contemplating why people even feel the need to have matching socks in the first place. Stupid social rules...
@SevenSixOne: Yes, I do travel a lot. That probably has something to do with it. I don't have many overnight guests, though.
I am especially fond of one sock I acquired which is bright pink and purple. I have no idea how I got it.
A few years ago, I had about 15 pairs of socks. Now, after many washings, I have exactly one matching pair left, and have acquired 3 stray socks. None of the rest of the nine or so ones I have left match. I try to pair them as best I can - black with dark blue and so on, but honestly, I just don't get it. Where did they go? How did I get the new ones?

Eee! I am going to a conference! A real, big one this time. It's a feminist conference about 5 hours away from me, and lasts 3 days in June. Time to start getting nervous!
@Sabriel: Thanks - that's really interesting. I am feeling a lot better now anyway. Turns out I ended up meeting a few people for drinks yesterday.
