@Artemis47: Oh, awesome! I decided to make something else this time, but I am totally saving this. One day, crab cakes. Thanks!
@RedTide: Well, I ended up not liking the look of the packaged crab at the fish place and not feeling up to dismantling a fresh one myself, so I went with (much more familiar) salmon instead. But thanks again for the advice; I do still want to try sometime.
@RedTide: Eeenteresting. Thanks for the tip. I don't suppose you happen to have a super dependable recipe link?
@Anonymous: I <3 Sliquid. I use the Organics Silk stuff but I've heard good things about the others too.
How difficult is it to make crab cakes? Would it be a terrible idea, if I've never done it before, to try to make them for the boyfriend's birthday? He's from Maryland and knows from crab cakes, so I don't want to make him crappy ones, but if they're not easily fuck-uppable I might do it.
@walkawayrenee: Seriously, on my way home I was already trying to decide in which order to complain about things to my boyfriend so as to elicit maximum sympathy, and then BAM. IRS'ed.
But I think it will get worked out, it's just annoying. Thank you for the #gif support.
You know what's funny? When you've had a frustrating day at work, and you're having lady problems, and it's raining, and you're hungry, and you just want to go home and eat a giant bowl of pasta and forget about everything in the world, and then you get home and check the mail and find a letter from the IRS claiming you owe them $900 more dollars.
Hahahahaha. They're wrong, and I'll fix it, but arrrrgggghhhh.
@Sabriel: That is weird! Maybe they were doing one of those scavenger hunt things and needed a person in pink boots?
