@Breebit: Good luck! You got this.

@wonderful1x1: I agree about the polo, and as an IT person I have a closet full of them, but the shorts were too much. At least he wasn't wearing Birkenstocks with them.

@la.donna.pietra: At that point I think it would be best to swim for it. Sometimes the risk of death is preferable to the alternative.

@wonderful1x1: I grew up in a trailer in the middle of the woods and I know better than that.

@Steggy is cancelling the apocalypse: Around here that is a distinct possibility.

I had to go a wedding yesterday where I knew neither the bride nor the groom. My wife works and is friends with the bride's father and I'm friendly with him but neither of us knew the couple. To top it off, there was no booze served of any kind. Let me repeat that, no alcohol of any kind. It's a good thing that the crowd watching was so enjoyable or I would have been bored to tears. I also learned that the men of my region really don't know what to wear to weddings. A pair of cargo shorts and a polo? At a church wedding?

@Strict and her trusty sidekick Benji: Simply adorable. That reminds me that there is a guy in my neighborhood that I've seen a couple of times jogging in a kilt. It makes me chafe just thinking about it.

@ewsquishy: No specific recommendations but check out Project Gutenberg for free classics.

@la.donna.pietra: Sounds like the perfect use of a couple of burner email addresses I have.

Mme. Liberal bought tickets to go see Bon Jovi and we've been given tickets to see Wicked when it comes to town again so I'm thinking that she owes me a concert. The problem is that there is nobody coming to my backward ass city that I want to see. Nine Inch Nails is as close as it comes, but I really don't want to subject myself to Trent Reznor at this point in my life. Anybody know of any Blues/Jazz (especially electric blues) type stuff happening in the PNW?
